Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Makes: 4 cups

Description:


Ingredients
1 bag fresh cranberries
1 3/4 c sugar
1 granny smith chopped
1 orange- zested and juiced
1 lemon- zested and juiced
3/4 c raisins

1. Cook cranberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water in saucepan over low heat for 5 minutes or until the skins pop open on the cranberries.
2. Add the apple, orange zest, lemon zest, and juice and cook for 15 more minutes.
3. Remove from heat and add raisins.
4. Let cool and serve chilled.

Tips and Tricks

Variations
You can add 3/4 c chopped walnuts or pecans for crunch if you want.  Add the nuts when you add the raisins.
