Description: Homemade sauce is soooooo much better than the canned kind. I whip up a huge batch of this and freeze them in portion controlled zip locks. When the mood strikes us we just grab a bag and pour it over the dough.
Ingredients
1 yellow onion, diced small
2 tbs olive oil
12 cloves of garlic smashed
28oz can of whole tomatoes
1 tbs sugar
2 tbs chopped basil
1 tbs chopped oregano

Directions:
1. In sauce pan over medium high heat add olive oil. Add onions and garlic, cook until fragrant.
2. Add tomatoes and sugar. turn heat on low and cook for 20 minutes
3. Add herbs and continue to cook for 10 more minutes.
4. Remove from heat and puree in a food processor or blender.
5. Season to taste
